Heavy Machinery Mechanic – South Chicago, IL

Staff Source is seeking Heavy Machinery Mechanic candidates for an outdoor scrap yard client in South Chicago, IL. This is a full time, first shift position from 6:00am-2:30pm, Monday through Friday. The pay rate is $18-$22 hourly based on experience.

This is intended to be a temporary to permanent opportunity upon successful completion of the probationary period for all employees that meet or exceed performance or attendance expectations. Job Description:

• Perform basic mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic maintenance tasks
• Conduct equipment inspections, check-ups, and diagnostics
• Recondition, repair, assemble, and service heavy equipment including hydraulic cranes, forklifts, hydraulic baler, semi- tractors
• Analyze circuits, wiring diagrams and drawings to install, repair, calibrate, service and replace electronic devices and systems
• Install and repair cylinders, hydraulic pumps and radiation systems
• Perform stick welding
• Follow and comply with all safety and personal protective equipment requirements
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
• High School Diploma or GED required
• 2 -5 years of Heavy Machinery experience required
• Must be familiar with hydraulic cranes, forklifts, hydraulic baler, semi- tractors
• Ability to work in an outdoor environment with all weather conditions
• Capability to stand, bend and twist for long periods of time
• Detail orientated, ability to work with limited supervisor and safety conscious are key skills to have in order to be successful in this position
• Bilingual preferred

Apartment Maintenance Technician – Hammond, IN

Staff Source is seeking candidates for an experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician for a client located in Hammond, IN. This position is intended to be a temporary to permanent. The pay rate for this position is $17 hourly.  Employee will work  Monday- Friday 8-4pm

Description:

• Preparing or assisting in preparing all vacant apartments to a market ready condition
• Enter both occupied/vacant units to perform required maintenance
• Provides assistance in delivering preventive maintenance for the building, equipment, and grounds
• Perform minor plumbing, mechanical, electrical repairs inside the units as needed
• Complete routine inspections of vacated units and quarterly unit inspections for safety compliance
• Respond to resident service requests and concerns in a timely manner
• Move/install appliances in/out of apartments
• Assists in the upkeep of community grounds and common areas and parking lots
• Other Assignments as assigned

Requirements:

• Pass pre-employment drug test and background check
• High School Diploma required
• Must have own basic tools
• Experience in safe use of hand tools and small power tools
• 1 year of experience in apartment maintenance required including general maintenance, plumbing, electrical, and painting experience
• Capability of walking, climbing, standing, bending etc. for long periods of time
• Ability to lift 55lbs-75lbs
• Must be a self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision or in a team environment

Order Pickers – Hammond, IN

Staff Source is seeking Order Pickers for a client in Hammond, IN. The Order Pickers are responsible for accurately selecting, packing, and preparing orders for shipment to customers. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that customers receive their orders promptly and in excellent condition. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, efficient, and able to work well in a fast-paced environment.

The pay rate is based upon experience with a starting rate of 17.50 hourly. This is a 2ⁿ shift position Monday-Friday 3pm-2am. This position is intended to be a temporary to permanent opportunity upon successful completion of the probationary period for all employees that meet or exceed performance or attendance expectations. Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately pick products from shelves according to order specifications
• Verify the accuracy of orders picked by cross-referencing order tickets
• Pack orders securely to prevent damage during shipping
• Label and prepare orders for shipment
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently
• Assist with inventory management, including stock counts and replenishment
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily, weekly, and monthly order fulfillment goals
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
